He said “they have already given out food parcels to over 120 families . . . each receiving a personal visit in their homes. Tonight they are going to another village (that I have been to many times) and they will give out the parcels in people's homes there as well this evening.”

Convoy of Hope Europe had 4 Days of Hope in Negotino , Macedonia with over 1,500 men, women, and children in attendance during the weekend. We worked with missionaries Brian and Colleen Thomas, a 9 member Chi Alpha team from Arizona State University , Negotino Pastor Goran, Skopje Pastor Mirce and other regional churches. The four Days of Hope began with community service work, cleaning and digging flower beds, picking up litter and painting the soccer field fence where the primary outreach was held. |

We also ministered in Shutka Macedonia . Convoy partners there with the Thomas' and Save Europes Children to provide a feeding program for Roma (Gypsy Romanians) children who receive a lunch three days a week. Unfortunately the water for the soup must be hand carried one mile to the site to make the soup. With your help we are now able to make a well at the site operational and to expand the feeding program to 5 days a week. The local Puzzle team on Friday evening shared with over 200 children who responded excitedly to the presentation. Following the Puzzle the film “ Facing the Giants” was shown to another group. Saturday morning was the main outreach with children's games, eye exams, medical checks, free hair cuts, food on site for the guests, and entertainment. We chose to step up our follow up with guests by asking them to sign up for groceries to be delivered to their homes. Pastor Goran and his team will be delivering groceries to nearly 100 homes in the coming weeks and sharing the gospel again with each home. Please pray that those families will become a vital part of Pastor Goran's church. |

Saturday evening the Puzzle was presented again and later a gospel concert with over 220 people in attendance. Sunday morning was a church service where guests from the weekend events attended and celebrated with the 4 regional churches, the tent was jammed with over 500 people. Reports of lives being impacted are being shared. The Negotino planning team met on Monday and tearfully shared together about family members who vowed never to attend a church service, but came on Sunday morning . One 70 year old woman listened from her home to all the presentations throughout the weekend and finally came to the site and spoke with Brian Thomas and told him she wanted to be a part of this church and she was in the service on Sunday . We are thankful to God and to you for reaching out the people of Negotino and Shutka. We believe that this first Days of Hope will be the catalyst for change within these communities.

In the middle of May, COHEU will be doing a community outreach in the Republic of Macedonia, often referred to as Macedonia.
This country of 2 million people has an incredible history and was once a part of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
It peacefully seceded from Yugoslavia in 1991. |
