Convoy of Hope serves more than 2800 guests in Cherven Bryag , Bulgaria

May 24 is known in Bulgaria as 'Alphabet Day' (the day to celebrate the alphabet developed by the brothers St. Cyrill and St. Methodius). In the city of Cherven Bryag, just an hour and half north of the capital of Sofia, May 24 is also known as Convoy of Hope Day. For the second consecutive year Convoy of Hope welcomed more than 2,800 guests to activities in the city.

At a site near the local soccer stadium, Convoy of Hope, in cooperation with pastor Vesko Yotov and 5 churches from the region, was able to provide a lunch, activities for children, medical help, haircuts, and groceries to 2,861 guests. More than 200 volunteers worked tirelessly to provide a time of fun where everyone was welcome.

The Mayor and several of his officials have asked Convoy of Hope to return every year. One of them stated that no other event has ever had such a positive effect on the city.
