JULY 2008

On Saturday July 25th, 2009 the country of Moldova experienced its largest Convoy of Hope event with close to 3,000 people in attendance.

Pastors from 5 churches joined with Convoy of Hope Europe and Charity Cup International in the city of Ungheni.

While COHEU supplied the food, most of the organization was done locally.

COHEU representative, Nolan Tarantino assisted while missionary Troy Darrin helped mobilize the mainly Moldovan volunteers.

People lined up 2 hours in advance for the event. Besides haircuts, medical checks, a kids area, free groceries and food there was a large tent where the guests heard a presentation of the gospel. Many responded to the message and they will be followed up in the near future.

Moldova is often referred to as Europe’s poorest country and COHEU looks forward to participating in many more events in this needy area.
